Any reason to change the body depth from the standard Martin depths that I will use as a pattern for my next build? It's just so hard to NOT change something.

Edit: current dimensions are 3 3/16" at the neck and 4" at the tail. I've learned enough to know that there is very little, or very much, magic in certain dimensions but as wondering if anyone has experimented with a deeper bodied 000 12 fret.LarryH39089.9946875

Never built a 00 less than 4 1/2 tail and 3 3/4 neck, so I cant compare anything. I make my OMs bigger than std Martin as well, 15 3/8 lower bout, and deep as well.

Thanks a lot you guys. I'll try something similar. I'll also see if can find any info from Mario as I am curious as to how the deeper body might compare, tone wise. Still waiting for a couple of parts before I can start building but I'll keep you posted.

This will be my first non-kit guitar so I'm pretty nervous/exicted to get going
